Sale Information Banner Picture

People who long to sail away to the South Seas often choose the least expensive ocean cruising boat in hopes of affording the dream.  Then they find the hull needs work, the sails replaced, and the rigging gone over.  There are electronic system upgrades, a watermaker, wind steering vane, and, of course, safety equipment before the old boat is ready to go.  By the time everything is ready, years have passed and many thousands of dollars have been spent making the boat’s original price a small percentage.

Due to an unforeseen change in plans, Millie J's original owners sold her. Because this section of the website contains equipment information not found on other pages, it is being kept intact.

Millie J was sold through Swiftsure Yachts Sales. They did an excellent job representing her and I recommend them if you are selling a boat or if you're purchasing. They may be contacted at 206-378-1110 or online at www.yachtworld.com/swiftsure/.

Millie J is a 35-foot custom aluminum cutter designed by Ted Brewer and completed in 2005 with the rigging and sails new in 2006.  She is designed, built, and equipped for two people to safely and comfortably make transoceanic passages and she is ready to go now, as a glance at her equipment list below will confirm.
